You know there are so many things intresting about anti-mage. The way he f ucks up your whole game when you’re going againts him, the way he can get so many easy kills, the way he charges at you to kill you when he’s done farming.

i was about to do some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ introduction on who anti-mage is, but y’all know which motherf ucker im talking about. yeah thats right the devil with the small mohawk. the one who ♥♥♥♥s you up every time you want to get a kill. yeah him. one day i got courious and decided to try out the motherf ucker. turns out its not that simple on how to play him.

Ok, so as you might notice anti-mage (for me when i had no clue for to use him) is pretty squishy in the early game and tends to die a lot. but when he is done farming he can be this beast hero who will f uck your whole game up with him coming towards you and you dying. when Ant-mage is fully farmed he is gonna be one hell of a nightmare. he will literally ♥♥♥♥ you up with all he’s got. he’s gonna drain your mana dry, he’s gonna do a lot of damage to you, and eventually without you knowing it you’re dead. now if you’re playing anti-mage as i said before his early game is really hard for the new comers to dota 2. now im gonna give you some tips and tricks on how to play him.

The way I see it theres 2 possible Anti-Mage starts. First and most preferable is when you get total freefarm in your lane and access to the jungle. Obviously this isnt particularly common, but when it happens you should win the game 99 times out of 100. Your first priority is preventing your wave from pushing under the enemy tier 1, as this prevents you from getting come creeps and gives the enemy offlaner free xp for no reason. Farm the creeps in the lane, get all the creep kills and make sure all the enemy creeps die, then blink to stack the small camp. Go back to the lane, farm, deny ect, then pull small camp at 45. Go back to tower, pull enemy wave under tower and farm small camp and enemy wave. This is the most efficient way to farm radiant safe, dire safe is similar but with large camp.

In this situation, I go ring of Health into treads ( usually) or Midas (if you want to get 900 – 1000 gpm or something to inflate your ♥♥♥♥). After Treads, you will have enough mana to spam blink with religious tread switching. Next comes battlefury, i tend to buy and bring the damage items first then send crow to secret shop for void stone. In this situation you should have treads/midas and Bf by no later than 13 mins. If its after 13 mins that means you missed creeps and you need to practice CS more in a lobby or somthing. Item build after this is fairly standardized, manta>heart/bfly>heart/bfly>bkb/abyssal>ect. Lategame item choice decisionmaking will come with practice, Ive bought hex, rapier, mkb daedalus ect, alot of stuff works in a few situations. Practice this.

The second and most common AM laning phase is where theres a strong offlaner vs your weak babysitter or a dual lane vs you and a decent support. This happens all the time and is totally winnable. If youll be going vs a BB or undying or other spammer i get Stout, tango, magic stick to start, level up mana burn and try to burn away some of their mana. Get a poor man’s shield and a quelling when u can, farm the small camp between waves, and just leech xp and fight when ur support goes ham. Item build for this situation is more fluid. stout>stick>tango>pms>quelling>RoH>Treads(boots and belt of str first)>vlads/bf>vlads/bf>same as before. Vlads allows you to farm the woods withouth the same gold input as a battlefury. Only get it before bf if the lane is completely unfarmable. If the lane is an absolute shit♥♥♥♥ and you cant even get close and they kill you at the small camp when u go to farm that, buy tranquils instead of treads, and go to lane take 2 cs than blink out and regen. In genereal, unless you feed, there is no unrecoverable start for AM. He is a crazy fast farmer and is stronger late then most give him credit for.

I save skillpoint at lvl 1, unlesss i need it. At 2 I level q and w. If your lane is easy, you dont need 3, so your skillbuild should go like this up to lvl 10(S is for stats). q>w>s>s>w>s>w>s>w>s>r>r. If your lane is a shit♥♥♥♥, level shield at 3. Blink skilling can be adjusted, but usually i level 1 point in it for each component of battlefury I have. Its worthless to max it before you have BF, so dont waste your skill points. Stats on AM are excellent so thats why I do that. If you have any questions or want to play with me/ be coach on AM by me let me know and I’ll add you.
