Dota 2 champions difficulty concentrating
Due to confusing and unnecessary mechanics, yup.
I played a bit of DotA2 when I begun playing MOBAs and what it seemed to me is that DotA is less a “game” compared to LoL.
Game Difficulty: SC II > Dota > LoL
Fun: LoL > SC II > Dota
And still it depends, you can’t really compare dota and LoL. ofc playing a game in LoL bronze is a lot easier than playing your average dota game. But to play good and win games continuously in challenger, is a whole other level. Get to know Dota and it will be a walk in the park, get ahead and u can’t lose.
Don’t get me started on the Dota graphics, they do look like ****. I can play LoL and SC II for a whole day, but mehh after 2 hours of dota you’ve seen enough of it for the rest of the week.
4.7k MMR on Dota, but still playing more LoL and SC II
Everyone has their own poison
Quit talking about a game you’ve never played before. There are no unnecessary assets in DOTA. DOTA only looks confusing to LoL players because LoL is a straight forward and repetitive game.
everything is so random
which means you need to get lucky
luck does not equal skill
dota is more about luck than any other game
If league of legends was so easy why don’t the dota players play the game and get paid tens of thousands a year for it?
because they can’t.
Even if it is easier to play, does it realy matter then the top level play is still extremely hard. And unachievable for the trash talking dota player? So he could be diamond in league and platinum in dota (example) wow.. that really matters.
Why do people pretend an easier learning curve is a bad thing? It’s obviously better to attract a good fanbase. And the level of skill and mechanics is still extremely high at top level play.
It’s has more depth / complexity / mechanics (?) than LoL
“Harder” isn’t really the word to use.
The graphic part is just personal preference, i myself think dota looks better than league. but both have a different graphic style so comparing it is useless.
Dota has more variables so logic assumes that it is harder than LoL.
You already have enough answers, but just to be sure:
Dota 2 is harder, because it has no means to explain you everything, you are just bombed with 50 stupid mechanics.
The designers of LoL (you can actually read about their thoughts about most mechanics somewhere if you are looking for it) made the game especially graspable, so you are not confused by the stupid stuff.
I give you a comparison, you can bring that up to your friends:
Let’s say LoL is chess, then it is highly competitive, offers many tactics and hard to master. Also the better players usually win.
Now lets take chess and add a die roll. You can only move your piece the exact distance the die says.
(Yes, the random factor is very important in Dota 2)
Chess Grandmaster Kasparov certainly wouldn’t have played this kind of chess, hence he sticks to normal chess, though this one is harder. In the same way LoL has the fiercer competitive scene.
Its up to you and your friends if “competitive” or “harder” is more important for a game.
