[contest] dota 2 beta key giveaway

I have a few more keys to give away but not sure if I can yet. If I do I will resurrect the thread. In the mean time, look through what your fellow TL users find interesting, there’s some good stuff in there.

Hello
I have 5 beta keys to give away.

A really easy contest, I’m always looking out for new things so just show me something interesting. It could be music (any genre) that you think is awesome/a not very well known movie you think I should see/a game / meme/ photo/ work of art/ interesting fact/ travel destination/ short story/ long story/ whatever.

ill be PM the winners as soon as I can.

mods: if this is not allowed for some reason, or if you prefer me go through the trading thread, please let me know.

If you haven’t heard of the band “Alestorm” before, I think you should try listening to some of their music. They’re one of my favorite bands. They play a type of genre called “Pirate Metal.” Some of their songs I’d recommend are: Keelhauled, Wenches and Mead, The Quest, Pirate Song, and their rendition of Wolves of the Sea. There’s also the band “Powerglove.” They do some pretty good metal renditions of old-ish video games. I would recommend the songs: So Sexy Robotnik and Mario Minor off the top of my head.

In the same vein as Powerglove there is “The Minibosses”, but pretty much everyone has heard of them. I would recommend their remix of Mike Tyson’s punch out if you haven’t checked them out already. They have a lot of other great remixes as well.

I figure there’s about a 10% chance you haven’t heard of at least one of those bands.

A funny skit from SMBC theater group title’d “Existential Crisis & Dragons”

All of there skits are funny, short and great for killing time

Something cool. This is a post-apocalyptic animated short by OddBall Animation. Amazing work somewhat independently done.

I wish this was being made into a video game or full length film.

Now for the interesting video. I got to visit these cave a couple of years ago and it was the most beautiful/mind blowing place I’ve ever been. I hope that everyone get to visit a place like this sometime in there lives.

Skip to 6:30 to get past all the talking.

Well, I hope that you enjoy these video and maybe I’ll hear from you soon.

Good tidings, my friend.

He talks about cosmology, the big bang, relativity, and how the universe will end, among other things. It’s a long lecture, but it’s very easy to follow even if you have no background in physics, and it makes for good cocktail discussion!

On related note, www. fora. Dota 2 beta key giveaway november tv is a website that has a lot of conferences and intellectual discussions on pretty much anything, and you’re bound to find something there that interests you. This is one that I liked a lot:

It’s a discussion looking back on the Vietnam war protests and the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s, with one contributor who was at that time very liberal (Christopher Hitchens), and one who was then very conservative (William Buckley). They talk a lot about how they felt about both movements during the time period itself, and how their opinions have evolved as they reflect back on it today.

And last but not least, my strongest nostalgia. Dota 2 beta key giveaway november
