Low priority que

Hello! I guess im not the first to try and complain about being placed in low priority, but this has to be a bug – so hear me out, please.

Im fairly new to Dota2 and have only played it for about 5-6 moths. Being new, i clearly suck, playing around 12-1300 MMR. I come from the SC2 and D3 scene, and am not used to the toxic nature of playing on a team. I try to report players, when I see them AFK or when being overly toxic.

The game that got med demoted to low priority que has the matchid: 2813039630

I played the LC in this game, a hero im trying to get better at, but has not mastered by any stretch. In fact, i often get off to a bad start, and cant ever come back into the game – this being the case in this game. The team strats flaming me. Not a new reaction, and one of the most normal reactions, it looks. The frustration of losing and finding a common enemy, looks to be very normal respons, in this game. I try to not join the discussion, and ignore the comments, for the most part. Fair enough, my bad play might just be the main reason for my team losing this game. Not saying my teammates was doing very well, but all the same, ill take my fair share of the responsibility for losing the game.

And this is where the bug must come in. Its not uncommon to become the common enemy on the team, we have all been there (if u play the 1kMMR). Is this the intention of the report-system? Punishing the worst player on the team, even though he tries his best? The toxic language that my teammates uses against me, is not constructive or helpfull. I do no answer with the same language and I do my best to ignore them, all together. I reported a couple of them, for being toxic, but I was the one being punished.

I understand that this system is fully automatic, and therefor will not be reviewed in any form. I hope you can take a look at this, and recognize that 1kMMR is for bad players, and that should not be a reason for a team to all report, and get me punished.

Have a nice day,

Of course it is unfortunate. Seeing the All chat in that game indicates that your teammates are somewhat toxic.
But also, you will need to be reported in more than one game in a brief span to get sent to LP through reports. This game probably was the one tipping the scale, but not the only reason.

A few tips:
1) The best thing you can do when someone starts to flame: mute him or them immediately. Do not start a discussion. Mute them without hesitation. Your playing experience will be far better.
2) If you are still uncomfortable with a new hero, read a few guides (maybe on Dotafire) and find or create a build for it to use in game.
3) Practice with the hero in Bot games (I usually do this in a few solo Bot games, but Co-op bot is also possible) until you feel more comfortable with it before playing them in a real match.

Edit:
one addition after looking at the stats of that game:
don’t stay in the jungle forever without helping your lanes at all and them playing basically 4 vs 5.
You only having 5.0k hero damage (by far the worst in your team and in the whole game) in a game that went almost 60 minutes indicates you were contributing not much at all, probably being one of the dreaded AFK junglers. Change that play style.

Edit 2:
a second addition 🙂
this was even a Ranked match. Don’t play new heroes that you don’t feel comfortable yet in a ranked match. That’s rather stupid.

I fully take the responsibility for losing the game, but is that a good enough reason to report people? Is this the meaning of the report-system? I am 33 y/o, so when I get reported, its not because i get in wordfights with other 14-15 yearolds. But team ganging up on one player, is far from uncommon. Its very human, really, in fear of being singeled out them selves. Thats why im posting this under “gameplay bugs”. This is a flaw in the system. Reporting should be for getting a (much needed) better gaming enviroment, not an outlet for frustration, at the lowest rated player. I play alot of support aswell, and the same thing goes. Who got the lowest level, who got the most death -> flame person -> make game toxic -> get out frustration -> lower team moral -> get the focus on someone else.

That’s how the system works, there is not much to be done. If someone is reported frequently and often, he of course is deemed as a disruptive player. That’s hardly a bug. Also, once again: you have to be reported over several games to end up in LP. You are not sent to LP for just one bad game.
“We only assess a low-priority penalty when a pattern of disruptive behavior is established by reports from multiple parties over multiple matches.” (http://www. dota2.com/conductsummaryfaq/)

I myself had so many bad games I cannot count, and I also play almost exclusively support, but I have never ended up in LP (my conduct summary always is
