I main axe and in 70% of my games i end up as the teams main carry..while axe is ,,just,, a semicarry if any
Axe is strong at any point
He dominates the lane against all mellee heroes
He can still survive against ranged harrass thanks to his high health regen
He totaly definates the midgame with the blink dagger
He totaly *** agility carrys in endgame with blademail. its realy funny to see how some carrys kill themself:)

Axe also counters alot–
Someone trys to escape through invisibility? Predict where he is going to be, blink to that location and call so that the hero is forced to break invisibility for attacking you
Sqishy dps heroes? Blademail, blink, call, counterhelix_:_
Multiple units based heroes like chaos knight or meepo. spin to win
So what am i missing?

I dont think Axe is OP, he has simple weaknesses. He is balanced imo

He’s a pub stomper. That’s it. 😛

the only pub stompers that i see these days are sven and sometimes fish man slark. everyone else is just ok. PA, the one that everyone complains for some reason, even ur mom, is actually a disaster in my games.

axe can be annoying sometimes, but i don’t think i remember seeing him going ham and stomping everyone.

You forgot PL, though then again after people get just a little smart PL starts to ♥♥♥♥ himself even if he was the last person to pick after making sure no one picked ES or Sven.

I mean I used to be scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of that guy whenever I didn’t have Sven or ES on my team. Now, I just feel sad for most PLs since even if they do get some kills early game, they end up screwed come late game. My most favorite moment was when some guy insta picked PL, then I picked Sven. The moment the match started, he disconnected.

@OP: He is great in pubs, mostly cause people are bad at using spells and generally pick right click heroes since they think it is much easier to play those.

Have you ever tried backdoor Axe? If you want some cheap wins you should totally try backdooring with him. It also lets you know when you reach a level where people can counter that. If they can counter backdoor Axe, chances are they know at least a little bit about how to play against Axe.
